On Friday, October 30, 2020, Projet Communautaire de Pierrefonds (PCP) held its inaugural Community Lunchbox initiative. This was undertaken because COVID-19 restrictions have prevented PCP from offering its usual indoor community meal gatherings.
With a generous food donation from Pierre Martin of IGA JPJ Martin, we assembled 50 boxed lunches and set up two pick-up locations - one at Roxboro United Church, and an additional satellite location at Fonds d'aide de l'Ouest-de-l'Île.
We gave away 35 lunch boxes at our pick-up locations and delivered 15 boxes to families in need. Thanks to everyone who supported this initiative!
